Our horse care is unparalleled in the Atlanta area.

Horse Care and Boarding

Deluxe Board is our full-care main option and from it, clients add on various training programs. Description as follows:

	Timothy Hay and Grain fed 2/3x per day, more often if needed
	Daily Turnout in grass pastures individually or in compatible pairs according to each horse's preference; usually 5 to 6 hours/day
	Daily Grooming including hooves picked and body cleaned after turnout each day
	Blanketing according to temperature at all times of the year from flysheets to heavyweight blankets
	De-Worming rotation done every other month throughout the stable.
	Monthly tracking of vet/farrier scheduling according to the individual horse's needs

Premium Care includes all amenities listed above, plus show quality extras such as baths, wraps when needed, preparing for shows, saddle pad/wraps laundered. Give us 12 hrs notice and your horse can be groomed and tacked for you to ride and we'll take care of the cooling out. It's perfect for the discriminating horse owner with very little time!

Training

Dressage training and instruction is available for beginners through advanced and is enchanced through special learning oportunities. We promote a well rounded riding education by hosting clinics and events regularly to advance the knowledge of our local equestrians.

	Partial Training: 2x/wk. schooling rides/lessons
	Full Training : 20 rides/lessons per month

Shannondale's Training and Instruction focuses on the following important qualities:

	For the horse: Purity of the basic gaits, Lightness and steadiness in the bridle, softness and attentiveness to the rider's aids, flexibility in the body for bending, extension, collection within the stride
	For the rider: confidence and safety, overall balance and comfort, proper use of the seat, legs, and hands as aids in communication to the horse, accuracy in execution of dressage movements, ability to communicate with the horse effectively to collect and extend its stride
	No matter what the discipline, balance and ability to concentrate on work are the goals we strive to achieve with the horse as an assistant to the rider.

Lease with Lessons

Schoolmaster horses available for half-lease at Shannondale Farm. Learn how to ride dressage and practice it without owning a horse. Excellent for those interested in getting back into riding or looking to move up through the levels. 1 lesson and 2 practice rides each week for $850/mo.

*Instruction is also available on talented school horses and trailer-ins are welcome.
